The Power of Community
Loneliness is a national epidemic. The global experience of Covid has highlighted how important friends, neighbours and community are. There has also been a increased awareness of how many people with learning disabilites are #alwaysinlockdown. For far too long the focus has been on ‘services’ rather than community. Now is the time to harness the natural community connections which flourished during the pandemic.
This course is co-faciliated by Sally Warren and Michelle McDermott or Katie Gibson-Peacock and Christopher Porter.
