I am a Co–Director of Getta Life with Julie Smith. Getta Life supports people with learning disabilities to live in their own homes, many of whom have had traumatic pasts and have what would be considered to be ‘complex needs’.
We have been working with people in this way for 20 years. We believe that with the right support people can live great lives and become valued and connected in their communities. We support people who have a wide range of support needs and different communication styles. We believe that everyone can live in their own home with the right support. I am curious about people and want to find ways to support everyone to live better lives.
I love my family, I am married with two sons, we like to walk a lot, I love to dance and garden. My favourite place in the UK is Keswick because I love Derwent Water. I love being outdoors and I am a runner.
