I am a parent, an artist and a recovering economist.   All my training prepared me for something unexpected and parenting was it.  Complex and amazing already, my life changed and became enriched by our son Rowland. He is a high support needs autistic person with severe learning disabilities and is non-verbal and he has the most infectious laugh and sense of joy I have come across.

I have run a home-based multi-agency developmental and educational programme for him. I have also set up co-operative studio groups and spaces and worked as an Expert by Experience on Care and Treatment reviews for NHS Specialised Commissioning for four years. I have spoken and worked at regional and national events but … I am happiest getting to know people more quietly.

Really, I am simply intrigued and amazed by the beauty of human beings.
