Kath Mc:

Kath has worked for many years within the voluntary sector and for the last 10 years worked as a Development Consultant with the Federation of Local Supported Living Groups.  Her role was to develop family led supported living in the North West of England for people with Learning Disabilities.   Although North-West based Kath has travelled both within the and giving presentations and running workshops on Supported Living. Kath thrives in developing new projects and seeing the outcomes, especially if it results in people leading full and valued lives

 A firm believer in ‘life long learning’ Kath is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, has a Certificate in Training and is an active Person Centred Planning facilitator. One of her current projects is using family centred planning with Older Carers and their families helping them to plan the future for themselves and their son or daughter.  Kath has a wealth of experience in working with families and people with learning disabilities.  She is at present managing a family led supported living service in West Lancashire and working with a young male who has just received his own personalised budget.

 

Socially, Kath loves travelling, listening to music, going to the Theatre and spending time with her family.
