Kate Fulton

Senior Consultant
Kate is a Senior Consultant with Paradigm and has a particular interest in Person Centred Approaches and Support Brokerage. She has worked in a variety of settings, supporting people with learning disabilities and people who experience mental ill health. Kate is passionate about individuals directing their own lives, in a way that suits the person. Kate's work has included working in the statutory, private and independent sector. Kate has spent time working alongside Advocacy organisations and held a secondment with the Valuing People Support Team exploring self advocates leading person centred planning. Kate is passionate about people being in control and recently wrote Paradigm’s guide to Supported Decision Making handy guide.
Kate co-developed and led Paradigm’s Brokers for Change development programme and more recently co-authored the CSIP guidance on Best Practice in Support Planning and Support Brokerage. Kate is a national expert on support brokerage and has soken at many national conferences. Kate’s consultancy work has included advising national and international governments, working with commissioners and providers, advocacy groups and direct work with people and their families.
Kate qualified with the DipSW and LGMB. Kate lives in Newcastle with her partner.
