Julie Pointer
Associate Consultant
ulie is an associate consultant with Paradigm with a background in disabled children’s services. She has worked with disabled young people and their families for 27 years and over the past ten years set up and managed an acclaimed transition service in Kingston upon Thames.
Julie qualified as a social worker in 1987 and has worked in a number of different settings, including local authority and voluntary agencies, both as a residential worker and a field worker. She also ran a family based short breaks service for six years. Julie is a strong advocate for person centered approaches and ensuring that children and young people are at the centre of planning.
Julie lives in Surrey with her partner and her son. She has a passion for playing sports, especially netball and would one day like to play for England, although accepts that she has probably left it too late!
