Gill Goodwin

Associate Consultant
Gill is a Consultant with Paradigm, coordinating our new training course, The Certificate in Inclusion and Person Centred Practice - Paradigm’s modular course for staff who are supporting people in supported living services. Gill also works extensively on our programme of consultancy on self directed support and person centred approaches. She works on the Dynamite project where she leads on support planning across all of the sites.
Gill has worked in services for people who have learning disabilities for more than 25 years and has been a qualified social worker since 1985. She has worked in a wide range of services, including day, residential and supported employment services. She worked as care manager in a community support team within a local authority and as a named health worker in an NHS trust. For almost 10 years, she was a commissioner in a health authority and then a PCT, where she was involved in planning, designing, commissioning, developing and monitoring services.
Gill is an ELP trainer and mentor trainer and co author of People, Plans and Possibilities and recently co- compiled the updated version of the Little book of Person Centred Thinking. She has consulted and trained widely in person centred thinking, planning and approaches, support planning and individual service design. Gill lives on the Wirral with her family.
